In the basic transmission model, a sender and receiver exchange feedback to one another. A sender encodes a message, which is transmitted along a medium. The receiver then decodes the message and sends feedback to the sender. As of the last few years, social media has created quite a boom in communication. Social media allows for participatory action from both senders and receivers, and many individuals create content that is used to convey information. Large organizations such as Google, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube have had a large impact on social media and communicative behavior which has changed our society that we live in today. Many social media platforms today are used on a daily basis and they have been integrated into our lives as an integral tool for communication.
